So me and my friend recently started playing the campaign. Is there no option to refill SMG magazines and stuff if there is no security player? Refilling magazines requires recipe and neither me or him are playing security role so we simply can't get the talent that unlocks the recipe. Is there other way to craft them/make the Security Officer bot to craft them?

If i remember right, you can take security officer bot and take talent that gives craft for magazines

when your so bot levels up and unlocks the recipe, you can concoct smg mags with anyone.
other ways to get smg mags are by purchasing them, or looting them from some random place.

Yeah, found a way. Through the TAB menu you can upgrade bots talents and skills. And if you unlock a talent that unlocks recipes - whole team can now craft this item (as long as the bot that has the talent is alive)
