Barotrauma 2D is Dead, Long Live Barotrauma 3D
Please correct course. Make Barotrauma 2D open source and use it to fund Barotrauma 3D.

That'd be worse in so many ways.

He's not wrong though, a 3D horror nuclear submarine alien world under-the-ice survival game is something I don't think I've seen yet, at least not in recent times.

Won't be Barotrauma though, methinks. Maybe Barotrauma 3D? Like when Duke Nukem 3D came along, we need sassy one-liners and aliens sitting on the toilet looking at posters of naughty ladies.

Yes, I'm sure that they will change the course of the game because one dude requests it.
Even though I'd like to see something like Barotrauma in 3D, it would likely not be as advanced as the 2D version is. Like the Submarine Editor, Character Editor, modding capabilities..
Given the modern standards it would probably run on Urine Engine 4 and destroy performance, anyway.

Cyclops in Subnautica is barotrauma 3D but without multiplayer

Subnautica but with autism ? Would play.

This may end like the ss 13 remasters situation.

My thinking is that, they've already got databases that they use for Barotrauma 2D. They don't have to reinvent the wheel. They've got a blueprint and they just need to try their hand at making an FPS/third person version. Would be epic.

Why would you want to buy the same game again just because it's in 3D lol. Did you also pre-order the TLOU remake just because it had shinier graphics?

there IS a roblox game based off of barotrauma, but it is in 3d. Play at your own risk.
Because it opens up a whole new relm of possibility's and the game could be even more intense (especially in VR)

Imagine working on a pump and you hear "Incoming!" and the hull a deck above you rupture and flood.

If you can some how come up with some serious investment money I am sure you could contact the developer and pitch your idea. They would need to hire some more staff, expand the studio with more equipment.

Imagine trying to fight several mudraptors that have invaded the boat while it's flooding and you don't have a diving suit on, and the brood mother is bashing the boat from the outside and spewing acid balls which disintegrate the hull even further and cause you to constantly loose your balance and aim, and get stunned by each jolt too, to top it all off the reactor just ran out of fuel. I wouldn't fancy anyone's chances.

Yeah, no. I don't much fancy diving into the abyss and meeting an Endworm in full 3D, thank you very much. It's already horrifying enough in 2D seeing it trashing the outside of the sub as it is :winter2019sadbulb:

I have been looking for another experience like barotrauma, but to no avail. There is a game called Iron Wolf Vr, it is vr compatible, so you can play on desktop, but you pilot a sub during ww2? I do not remember all the details, look up if interested.
