Integrated Graphics Performance
Looking at getting this for a family member to play with, but he's only running with Intel's latest Integrated Graphics. Any one have any experience on whether the performance is acceptable using it?

I had pretty good experiences with fallout 76 and some other games using intel integrated graphics from a couple years ago. I was modest with my graphics settings, but I'd expect barotrauma to perform well for the majority of cases. If we're talking end game with a sloppy sub (items all over the ground creating a bunch of extra physics calculations, and maybe a bunch of added light sources), then I don't know, but I played a variety of games on integrated graphics for about 6 months a few years ago and found it generally acceptable.
To match what climbingeastofwinter said, I played baro with a cruddy family macbook for a good while and it ran fine without any mods. I'd say keep it simple, and if you want to run mods or really really like hoarding items, then perhaps get the performance enhancing mod. It has helped me a good bit recently.

Appreciate the feedback! I'm a fastidious ship keeper- a place for everything and everything in its place so hopefully that helps!

I thought I was the only one, lol. I'm exaggerating a bit but it seems like every random I play with is unaware that you can click on cabinets to store items, as well as sell and deconstruct things you don't need.
Your family member should be fine playing with you, as long as you aren't running a bunch of total conversion mods or something.
I'm just being reserved here because I'm sure there are edge cases where you'll see not great performance, but I'd expect an i12 or newer to perform fine.

I think most of the heavy lifting for this game is done by single core CPU performance, and as those integrated GPU setups have the graphics hardware essentially as part of the CPU package then good cooling should help prevent throttling.

Last thing I want to be doing while my reactor is on fire and my hull is being torn apart is worrying about where the a dive suit or spare bottles are. No room for lay-abouts on this ship!
