Does Increasing Light Brightness Use Power?

I've been increasing the brightness of all the lights on my sub, but I'm unsure if doing so uses more power or not

No. The power usage is set in the sub editor. Even if increasing brightness did increase power usage, lights use very little power. The craftable ones don't use any power at all.

Game follows yolo rules, you can set a block to any hp you want no matter what size it is or how it looks, same goes for power consumption, power generation, brightness, pretty much anything. Probably the main area I wish it were more structured.
