local chat as default when using voice activation

just wondering if there is a way to use local chat by default when using voice activation, as it's kinda annoying to always need to press down a key to chat when it's just me and my homies (plus my mic isn't trash nor am i loud anyways so push to talk is kinda useless for me), and on a side note it'd free up a key which is always nice.

yes i know that, but what i am asking is how to have it use the local voice chat instead of using the radio voice chat by default
