Ballast Flora unable to be removed
Ballast water completely drained. Ballast Flora not losing HP no matter what weapon I use. It lost for about 1/5 HP only and then became immortal.
Unable to play the game now. Entire sub been infested by Ballast Flora, and unable to remove them.

You gotta cut off the wall growth's near the ballast heart before you burn off the heart. The stuff growing on the walls buffs the heart's health.

Dock sub, throw a grenade or two - it will kill flora.
Sine sub is docked it won't sink. Then just repair it.

Yeah, you need to cut ALL roots (the spiky bits) that are on pumps, if it's infested more than one pump you need to cut them both, I use a plasma cutter, it can take a while but if you're hitting it at the correct spot then a health bar should appear and slowly decrease. Crouch in a corner away from the fleshy parts so that it can't gas you, use a grenade to clear some away at the bottom of the ballast room if you need to. Ballast flora will also feed off junction boxes so you need to clear that stuff away too once the root is gone.

Just tested, and no, you do not. There's only one root, killing that will remove the infection from all pumps (and severing connection will also kill the infection).

Maybe you ended up being infected by several instances of ballast flora at once?

Maybe so, but I think the logic is still sound - if you remove one root but the ballast flora doesn't die after a few seconds then you need to find the other root(s) and remove those too. It's possible things have changed since I last had a serious ballast flora infection, they keep changing so much in this so-called 1.0 version of the game it's sometimes difficult to keep up, almost like playing an Early Access game!

They're visually distinct.
Left-most is the root.[i.ibb.co]

Pretty sure you need to cut off the branches from your Junction Boxes or turn off your Reactor as it's regenerating itself from your Submarine's electricity.

You don't need to cut branches, but you have to disable power on infected pump and drain water from it, before trying to remove it. As in water it only takes half of the damage, and electricity helps it grow. Once you destroyed root, rest of it dies by itself.

I never bother disconnecting anything, I just go down there and cut the sucker until it dies.
