Re-establishing contact.
Is that an actual possibility? I've not seen any options to re-enable contact with abandoned outposts. (I did clear it out. And got paid but. The option in the world map remains to re-establish contact for colonization.)

You might be thinking of beacon stations. You use them to help colonies spread further.
