In SS13 they were popular because it gave morons the perfect excuse for trying to ruin everyone's game and then whine that "but I'm only playing my character".
I'm actually fine with them being an ingame meme, since apparently a lot of people like the lolrandom "humor" they provide but as an actual faction they feel just plain stupid and immersion breaking.
and tbh most the talent trees are bad need redo all talent trees
Admittedly I havent finished the 1.0 Honkmother campaign, but having monitored the games discord during development its extremely clear the developers put far more work into them then just making whatever would be the most meme-y. The writers did research into things like Buddhist zen practices and the social theory of The Fool when developing the faction's 1.0 story. (Cant remember what the theory is called or who made it, but the TLDR is that society needs fools to remind them to not always take themselves so seriously)
I got nothing on the actual assistant subclass, that stuff is just kinda weird
NOT THE GAME IM LOOKING FOR
Good for you. Not what I want.
These kinda comments are already too old and only give the impression of being copy-paste crap.
I was afraid I made a huge mistake, buying this, as it suddenly seemed more like a meme-game than anything else. Luckily I met mostly more serious-ish people after.
