Some ideas for wiring mode tools in submarine editor
alright so making my 2nd ship in editor and tryign to keep my wires look tidy is getting me seriously pissed, and fact that most of these issues come from game forcing placement of wire nodes on the grid is bit annoying, so here are 2 too suggestions i think would make workign with huge amounts of wiers less frustrating
#1: line up tool - allows to draw vertical or horizontal line(was thinking we could also choose other angles but i know most players avoid angeled wall in submarines and after Building my 1st ship i can get why), and then allows to select area aroudn this line, all wires that are in the same orientation as the line within the area get put together in the same line that now we can move as one selection, all wires that can be lined up due to being connected to components within the area are automatically generating nodes that alowe them to be put in the same line
#2: right angle only mode- shortly saying prevents cables from having any other kind of angle than a right angle in the nodes, even if placement on grid wouldn't allow that otherwise, this would make cable placement and managment way easier, and owuld also help with keeping the angle on really long stretches of cables

Hold shift when drawing a wire after making the first connection for 90 deg angle nodes only.

Once both ends of the wire are connected, select the placed wire and hold CTRL and left click on wire anywhere again to create a new node at cursor.

RMB on a node to remove it, both while placing or after the wire is fully connected.

When moving a wire node around hold shift to freeplace it, ignoring the grid.

You can fine tune a nodes placement with the arrow keys and hovering the mouse cursor over the desired node.

I usually just wire all items up without creating nodes (its a fast way to test that everything works as intended), then create and move nodes into the right place for each wire after.
