How Do I Grab A Loose Wire?

As the title says, I have no idea how to grab a loose wire while in game (not the sub editor). I accidentally unhooked the wire from the button to launch the depth charge and I have no idea how to reattach it. I have tried clicking on the exposed end but that did not work, but the part I need to click could possibly be behind the charge launcher.

I think it should be there unattached, so its probably from smt else
Or if you are sure about it, then i would suggest trying to unplug the other end and drug it over into inventory

Well it would be there if I had just unattached it, but I think I dragged it off the button and removed the connection. You are right If I can figure out where the wire starts I could try remove the wire and redo the connection, but it feels like there is a better way than that.

Well, if it was still in the button yea but the issue is it's not connected to the button and I can't figure out how to interact with it.

But you can't even drag a wire from the component panel if it is still attached at the other end?
