Charybdis "Nostrils"
So...
Charybdis are blind, I believe.
But the nostril by their mouths...
It looks like an eye, I can't unsee it. It isn't disturbing, I just wish I could accurately interpret the design art.
Anyone else got the same problem?

Where's that from? Because going by the game-mechanics, only molochs are "blind" (and even they have a sight value >0).

Its not blind and the "nostrils" are it's eyes.

Really? I'm not insane?
I thought I read on the wiki that they had almost no vision, and the legacy skins had no facial features at all except the mouth, so I assumed the holes on the current skin's face were nostrils and I was just misinterpreting it.

It has more vision on the wiki than a hammerhead (2 for hammerheads, 3 for charybdis). Currently the wiki is semi-down, but you can still see it if you click "view source".

It's just that it has really, really good hearing (7), so in practical terms the sight doesn't matter much.

Hmm... ok.
The other thing I'll use to back up my nostril argument is that the holes look empty and black. Granted, that doesn't mean they aren't eyes, they just resemble nostrils in an uncanny way.
If a dev wants to jump in and definitively say, please do.

The eye thing makes it look goofy, also unsure how it would even be an eye as the teeth and the gums of the creature would be there, it would be kinda like having an alligator with it's eyes where it's nostrils are.

Exactly

It looks like a natural placement for where the eyes should be. On top of that, aquatic animals usually don't have "nostrils".
Fun fact: Side facing eyes indicate it's a prey animal.

Sharks have nostrils and you also won't find their eyes facing as forward as on us humans or other predating mammals.
