Clown Transport, what do clowns do on your ship?
The Church counterpart the cultist transport warns to keep an eye and for good reason they may try to husk themselves, however you are also warned to keep an eye on the clowns, why is that? what do they do well on your ship?

So far nothing. I usually play with Yubiroll Anime mod so they are less intimidating.

When I play (in a moded solo game) clown passengers just roam the ship and occasionally do safe pranks (banana peels and spring hammers). iv never had them do anything dangerous.

They can get psychosis with the same chances that the cultists can get infected.

Often you find Clowns in wrecks and such with C-4 and a detonator, or husk eggs, or whatever suspicious item in their inventories, usually alluding to the clown being responsible for the sub to have become a wreck in the first place.

Not that I'm saying they'd plant C-4 or sneakily husk a crew member or one another though. They probably don't do anything bad...but I'd cuff them for good measure anyway. The honk stops when I walk in :captainclown:

I had a clown mess with the turret while I was operating it, bastards

I think they also move stuff around (and possibly steal stuff) as all my welding torches are empty and scattered all over the ship, with no sign of the welding tanks anywhere. I think those motherhonkers stole 5 from me >:(

ive done the husk transport a few times and never notice them trying to turn. even in the hydrothermic wastes.

The first time i spotted a clown at an inactive beacon it was possibly one of the most terrifying moments in the game and he was summarily executed. All clowns get put down when spotted in the wild.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

check your plasma cutters, I think they switch the tanks so they pop in your face

They serve as a distraction for human players to do their pranking. You got pranked. :captainclown:
Clown transport clowns will occasionally place a blinking yellow/green light somewhere on your sub. Otherwise, they just weld your sub for you as it gets damaged. I don't think they actually engage in sabotage, or do anything other than be helpful. At least, not that I have ever seen.

Give it long enough and one of them tends to turn, I usually handcuff them and throw them in the lowest part of the ship (Not the ballast, don't wanna fail the mission.) just in case.

Really? even in Cold Caverns I have to handcuff those guys and throw them in the brig right away, or they're husked before I get to the first cave.

Suppose I could give them all a dose of calaxanide with syringe guns, but then the mission wouldn't turn a profit.

The game mechanics are still relevant.

Steam Forum guide says not to make new posts unless they topic is irrelevant.
