How to put text into a logbook stored in a inventory?

I'm making a parallel of the SM-13 from iron lung (not a recreation. But a small cheap scrappy ship thats been adjusted to fit the lore of barotrauma).

My lore is its a Coalition sub that serves the same purpose of the SM-13 from iron lung (execution under the guise of public service). That was captured by the separatists and refitted to be "mostly" safe if a bit under prepared for Europa.

Anyways I wanted to add a logbook inside a loose air vent in the armory but I cant figure out how to put text into the logbook AND place it into a inventory.

You have to place a log book into the sub, and then edit the text from the right click open as usual, and then save it as an item assembly. Then you can click the loose vent and open it, then open the list of items and drag and drop your notebook from there into the vent.

At least that's how I did it a long time ago I think, I hid a notebook with a load of clown stuff behind a loose panel in one of my submarines. Pretty sure anyway, since you can't drag and drop an item into the container and you have to place it from the item spawn menu, or something like that?

Doesn't work anymore? - Now when saving a logbook with text as an item assembly it becomes an empty logbook.
