I'm making this complaint because of theoreticals. I'm making this complaint because it's happened multiple times now.
maybe a botanist job? One whos perks allow for the increase or decrease %chance of mutation fruit drops and use the mutated fruit to make powerful weapons/tools.
I wouldn't mind them adding a new role that's essentially a picture of a pair of science googles or something, as a kind of scientist based role that has talents relating to a bunch of non-combat things, in regards to research. Already seen that they've added some extra bits of lore now with ruins and certain mysterious items you can find, so having someone who could decipher and translate that would be awesome. Different trees including working with Europan biology, working with Ancient tech, and then tinkering with the stuff we've already got, I dunno.
Though not really sure if there's room for that within the current talent system or roles we already have, lol. Probably wishful thinking on my part to add more SS13 stuff into this game, having someone who knows how to Science! things into much better things with every other role making constant demands.
Kinda wish Assistants wouldn't graduate into other roles and instead had like, a bunch of their own unique roles they could graduate into, such as Botanist, which would grant them a stack of talents based around that particular thing. That'd be good. They could graduate into stuff like a Botanist, Firefighter or a Janitor, for enhanced "assistanty things" that nobody else wants to do.
But yeah for the most part unless they expand the plant growing system at some point for now just having bots taking care of watering and fertilising plants when the time is right as part of their clean up job would be ideal, I think.
reload is already a thing, but you're right, we dont need to take the game out of the game, so lets remove all AI orders and do everything manually, after all, why should we take the game out of the game?
Bruh I just want to roleplay as a salvage diver, being duck taped to the nav term between dives because the AI sucks is bad enough. (plus they can't reach the shuttle so I have to do all those repairs manually.)
Craft bills for bots (a la rimworld or whatever) would actually be a very good step towards making the game more solo friendly.
Also "steer to mission destination" sort of exists too, it's just one of the things that works extremely badly.
that is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb argument and you know it. adding a "water the plants job that you can click on, or at minimum be able to pause the game and give out commands is not a "idle clicker" button.
I wish I could tell if there is any merit to this argument. I can see the hyperbole but like dude, I can't find groups that aren't flakey af and when I play solo I want to manage plants without having to leave my captain out in the open waters cus my wacky baccy is dying of thirst. this comment is a waste of data space
But if there was an official sprinkler component that didn't cause lag it would solve a lot of issues. Also give an automatic fire suppression option for subs, which would be a bonus.
Water plants before you send your captain into the abyss. Problem solved.
