ai is so braindead
i literally had husk infection in front of aunt doris while she had a health scanner on and ordered to heal and she stood there like an idiot. also 1 of my engineers took the fuel rod off an exosuit to power the reactor. one of my professional soldiers attempt to use a stun baton instead of the harpoon gun because it was in his 5th slot where the baton was in 1st during a mudraptor nest mission. all within 2 sessions im pulling out my hair lmfao

For players, the infection won't show up even with scanner until it reaches strength of 20. Not sure about bots but they can heal it, in my experience.

I'd also recommend equipping medic bots manually with calyxanide so they always have it on hand, just in case there's some kind of pathing or access issue preventing them from getting more.

Bots won't heal husk infections because of the genes and symbiosis.
You can take some antibiotics before heading outside so you won't have to worry about being infected that much.
Tonic Liquid would prolong antibiotics' effects I think.

Health scanners also are only useful for players, bots are aware of wounds as soon as you are on the submarine / in their range.

The order for bots to "Power up the reactor" is literally what it says, its not operate the reactor. It also puts you at a disadvantage since the bot will only use one singular uranium fuel rod to power an entire submarine.

You can do nest missions solo with exo+hyperzine/steroids or with abyss+hyper/roids, an axe would be the best I think but a shotgun is ok as well.

husk symbiosis can't be cured using husk curing items, and will stay until death or beat the campaign bot generally not curing husk, sometime they do but normally they don't. you have to cure them manually.

Usually I will suggest power the reactor manually, learn how to put 4 rods without any wiring and never need to mess with them again, only once in a very long while, multiple rounds, really. no downside, work with every submarine(all vanilla included), as long as no one mess with it.

I highly not recommend using harpoon for mudraptor nest missions, get a proper gun, HMG, Assault Rifle, Rifle, if none then shotgun will do, SMG maybe, anything but harpoon gun, it does next to 0 damage if it hit the armor part.

Stun Baton is a good option since stun bypass armor reduction, and make mudraptor exposed to getting hit in weakspot for other weapons, getting 2 batons and a few batteries help a lot when overwhelmed. Boarding Axe is fine.

Here's what you want to hear: Yes, they are f king braindead and more than frustrating to play with.
If you can, go play multiplayer with a crew, if you can't, well this is the sh*tty situation we are stuck in. I finished a whole campaign with these idiots and I wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE.

The multiplayer crews needed to be very good at the game, otherwise 1 bot is pretty much 3 players worth.

Skill issues for needing good player crews to babysit. I'd rather solo with 2-3 bot crews over having 7 player crew at anytime.

Unless you mean the bots in 1.0, but those are already patched.

The only reason I play multiplayer is for the chaos, even though it mean taking a lot more time to beat the missions, it fun because well, chaos.

thanks for the advice, yeah i didnt know abx had a resistance effect like calaxynide and i didnt want to waste them because theyre expensive. im not worried, they werent killing the mudraptors though but i dropped 7k on him and having him almost go out like that was a a pain. im doing about 5 missions a run so it gets pretty tilting when bots just dont work when i need them to.
