How to start with any ship?

I was always starting my campaign with a submarine from workshop, but now I can't do it because it's higher level than the starting ones and it's expensive. How to start with workshop sub without cheating in console?

You can open in the editor, and re-save a version with cheaper price on the save panel.

There's a minimum price, and for large subs that may exceed the maximum marks you can start with.

Before saving, hit F3, iIrc "enabledebugdraw" (if not some other debug command) and that minimum price is disabled and you can save with any price.

I personally start a multiplayer campaign session and just set it private.
Multiplayer allows you to choose any subs at the cost of starting with reduced marks.

This minimum price is related to the starting supplies inside the sub, if you remove some ammo or suits in the editor, maybe the price will go below your starting budget.
