Navigation terminal / sonar monitor question
Hello to all
I noticed that when i started the game i have only navigation terminal but not sonar monitor, but when i am using the nav terminal to steer the submarine, sonar GUI is shown together with the steering GUI. Are both features (sonar/nav) merged into one machine or I am missing something? The wiki says there are both sonar and nav terminal but i can't find a way to use them separately. Can someone explain me the purpose/difference of the both machines. I'm just curious.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the response! I remember you could upgrade the terminal to have a mineral scanner. So is there a purpose to use the sonar monitor alone because as i can see now the navigation terminal has both functions? When is ok to use it or it's obsolete?
Some Captains might get anxious if people constantly loiter in command looking at the sonar, so having one for everyone else solves that.

Typically they are just useful for the rest of the crew other than the Captain when they want to see what's going on outside the sub. If you are manning the guns, you can look yourself to see what directions monsters are coming from before you can engage with turrets. If you are repairing hulls, you can stay on the sonar to track enemies and predict where the sub will be damaged.

Oh.. Did not think about that. Back in the days I played singleplayer and completely ignored those scenarios. You've got a point. Thank you for the help.
