Ice spire detection/auto pilot issues

The AI needs a larger target range for when ice spires are detected. I'm tired of having to go from autopilot to manual whenever i try to do something on the ship just because the ship will hover just before an ice spire and wont shoot it. takes up way too much time during missions.

Yeah, autopilot sucks badly, just like if you order a bot to steer. You better use "manual autopilot", with maintain position turned on. And yeah, that means somebody should always stay in nav room.

Please no. I don't want to take the bots off the turrets for even longer just to pass a spire without wasting ammo.
