exactly this you can have more missions you just cant get the reward of more per traversal.
Also what exactly are "fun missions" you can run into any threat or occurance regardless of your mission, you can mine, harvest, board, beacon and fight sea creatures even with NO missions. The only thing missing is human transport.
People have their preferences and a lot of events and places aren't guaranteed or hard to find.
This.
It's a change in pre-patch for version 1.0. Do you understand what that means? There may be technical limitations or faction feature considerations influencing missions.
I guess you could say that the change was implemented prematurely, but maybe it's better to take this senseless whining before than after the bigger update.
Anyhow. I'm not sure if you can mod it in another way (most likely), but you can very easily increase the number of missions available to you locally by doing this:
1) Open the TalentsCaptain.xml file, and find stattype="ExtraMissionCount" value="1"
2) Change the value to your liking
3) Use the cheat console command givetalent Campaigning crewname
Currently that talent doesn't seem to be doing anything else if I'm reading the code comment right. If anyone has a better solution, feel free to add it.
Is the game not a sandbox and a mod can allow you to have 20000000000 missions active at once?
OOTL here i admit, however more options is always better when it comes to escapism.
-case in point the off-brand clowns in the game...
And all these changes and incomprehensible updates to version 1 only say that the developers have no imagination, they are not ready to develop the game and do not understand what they are doing.
Actually, that's all false, especially the last part. Being able to cherry-pick the missions you want decreases complexity by giving players too much freedom. You'll never have to adapt or change your submarine or your playstyle for different tasks if you can always pick the missions best suited for your sub and your crew and mood.
Besides, you can just mod it. Go do that instead.
By being able to endlessly generate missions to undertake you are able to force wreck, ruins, artefact or specific ore spawns on a single path at the same time.
It kind of defeats the purpose of finding them randomly, no?
Having the max mission limit being able to be set to 10 was even worse.
Ah yes, I also should leave this here just in case, you probably wont use it and continue to whine about "wahhhh modern baro sux" but hey, its worth a shot.
