Though that doesn't really matter. The moment the beacon is on (i.e. sonar fully functional) the beacon's installations stop taking damage.
You may also need to verify the sonar monitor is connected to the sonar transducer. But if this is your first sonar beacon it very well should already be connected.
I'm also somewhat unfamiliar with the wiring of things but i assume its just connecting the wires to the correct things, in which case it should be easy
I'll keep these in mind the next time i come across a beacon station. Thanks everyone for the help!
