A drum is called a drum mag, you know. Drums, and boxes are still magazines.
And an HMG is an HMG instead of an assault rifle exactly BECAUSE it has a bigger magazine and higher rate of fire....smh. (and a bigger caliber round, though devs ruined that principle by making it fire 5.56)
The wiki also says that its bullets are equal in firepower to smg bullets. And if the SMG uses .45 and this uses 5.56 then that is just not logical.
Though I do think that the devs need to use their "Phone a friend" option when they are designing weapons. With that friend actually knowing what the weapons they are designing are supposed to be caliber and damage wise. Its just bad form to call an LMG an HMG and make 5.56 equal in firepower per bullet to a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ .45.
That aspect of the HMG is totally nonsensical for sure.
