A friend was also everyone else needed - a mechanic, SO etc.
I was doing medical stuff - basically I'd have picked medic if we didn't need medals.
Now we're gonna start a new game and I gonna pick medic this time, because talents are not that hard to get as, for instance, endocrine booster or some good genetic modifications.
I imagine my friend gonna pick engineer again, because he has probably most useful recipes and quality items to craft, and because it doesn't make any more difference, since we both gonna do everything the normal full-sized crew should.
1. Engineer - For PUCS and perhaps depleted ammo.
2. Medic - For better gene drop rate, Endo boosters and advanced splicer.
3. Is between Captain (for medals, faster levels for all), Security (Ammo crafting, boarding axe) and Assistant (True Potential healing talent).
I prefer heavy shotgun in that case
I'm not that keen on the assault rifle, it's certainly not suitable for intruder defence as it shoots holes in your sub. I've given all of my bot crew full harpoon guns, they seem to work well and they pick up the harpoons afterwards.
You probably got confused thinking that medic is supposed to heal, while everyone else can do it too. But that's not what medic does, and in fact, a clown can heal way better than a medic.
