Select the item in question that you wish to unlock be pressing "E" while hovering your cursor above it.
Two panels will appear, one in the center of the screen which you are probably already familiar with and one on the top right of your screen.
Firstly take a look at the one on the right, that is the panel with all settings regarding this item.
Scroll it down to the "CONNECTIONPANEL" section and be sure to unchecked "Locked".
Getting back to the center panel.
If the wire that you wish to rewire is still in a "(locked)" state, that means that the wire has been locked both ways.
If so, then hover your mouse above this wire to highlight it not only on this panel but also where it'll lead from this item to the other one on the other end of this wire.
Follow where the highlighted wire lead (the wire or the items are sometimes invisible but still highlighted) then hover your mouse above the highlighted item that is "probably" directly under where the wire leads, if not you must find it by yourself.
Then press "E" on it and again in the panel on the right and be sure that "Locked" is unchecked.
And now this wire is perfectly unlocked and ready for sabotage.
