Ballast flora bugs or intended feature?

Let me start off by saying i'm not new at this game. I have over 250 hours in the game. I'm not asking how to kill ballast flora, I know how it worked previously. The problem is, now it doesn't.

Old method: Burn off the core, the rest of the stuff on the walls etc would either slowly die or fall off easily.

New flora: Core goes down to a tiny bit of HP and will not die. You have to cut away all flora around it also before it will die off.

Also new flora: Grows on deck 2. Nothing in ballast, 100% clear. Spreads all around no problem. I have to burn every little bauble of flora off the walls slowly, it takes a while. There is no core when this happens. You have to burn every bauble off the walls and clear it 100%. No easy way to finish it off, just slowly burning it while it slowly spreads a little slower than you burn it.

Is this intended, or are these bugs? Because they are happening frequently, almost every time for me. Seems to be an influx of other posts about ballast flora causing problems too. I've never had it kill anyone yet and it's still killable, but it seems to have totally new behaviours it did not previously have.

+1, just had the same issue last night and that took us a good 30 minutes to completely get rid of because parts of it were hidden behind some machinery too. One tiny space left and everything regrew in seconds.

Yep. I had it all over my 2nd deck with absolutely nothing in the ballast. It seemed as if each individual "bauble" of flora on the walls of deck 2 was causing growth. I had to cut away everything I could see, if even 1 little spot of flora was left on the wall, it would continue to grow from it. This is all on deck 2, with 0 growth and 0 flora in the ballast and no cores anywhere.

Tips to deal with the New ballast flora.
1-While in water it will regenerate.
2-They are better at controlling the pump so you need to disconnect ALL cables from the pump after the ballast is empty you have to be fast.
3-Kill every little bit of the Flora that is inside the ballast and the outside of the ballast should die if not just kill it .

They pump water in for about 10 seconds then it pumps back out. Not a big deal. No need to disconnect cables, or the pump, it'll pump water in and seal the doors for roughly 10 seconds then it'll stop. It only does this once, for roughly 10 seconds, then does not do it again. Also still an old behaviour and not one of the new ones i'm talking about, did you even read the post? Not helpful.

It clearly looks like you have a bad attitude problem you are too arrogant to learn anything from anyone , why even bother to ask for help here you are just looking for a place to cry and get some attention?

1- they never regenerated at the pace it does now in the water they are unkillable.
2- they don't pump water for 10secs in and out they just pump water in and keep the regen in one occasion the flora even started to pump water into the sub.
3- even without a heart it regenerate if even a little bit is left in the ballast and the heart will grow back.

It clearly looks like you have a bad attitude problem you are too arrogant to learn anything from anyone , why even bother to ask for help here you are just looking for a place to cry and get some attention?

Maybe you should try reading the post first. This is not a "how do you kill ballast flora" post. Seriously, you need to up your reading comprehension. But keep crying if you like for your entirely unhelpful posts.

You've clearly been playing a different game to me for the last 100 hours since the last patch.

I also clearly stated I can still kill ballast flora without casualties, even with these new settings. I don't need to learn anything, nor at any point did I ask how to kill it. I can kill it fine. So you can gtfo with your crappy advice nobody asked for.

I'm asking if this is intended or a bug, not asking how to kill it. Feel free to re-read my first post where I clearly said as much.

Yeah, thats right, I can kill ballast flora, no problem, even on the new settings. I'm just asking if this is an intended feature or not as there is no documentation on these changes, therefore it may be unintended.
