can you add more status monitors to a ship mid campaign without the ship editor

If you get the EK Utility mod, you can buy or craft a status monitor that you can place anywhere you want on the ship and wire it up. Otherwise, no, in the vanilla game the only status monitors are whatever you have on the ship.

Yes, like Skivin suggested EK utility does just this but your subs .sub file has to have it's wiring unlocked in the sub editor and in the campaign settings or else you won't be able to do it mid campaign.
