How do i feed mah pet

Me and my friend had a psilotoad and we named it "Georgie" so how do i feed him? i try to do everything but nothing happens he just wanna eat but doesn't

Have you used the correct fooder? Usually leaving them by their own with food on the floor they approach them and eat all by themselves.

Oh i kept dropping it and he didnt eat it guess i gotta wait a bit? Thank you mate

Well, they are not "that smart". I have seen them often on long periods with the bubble over their head that they are hungry and not eating at all. And on other times the fodder I dropped vanished instantly. Might be "normal bot behaviour" for them that we have to wait for them and just let them do their thing.

You can grab them and put it in their inventory. I'm not sure if that works though. They usually die before in find out.

That was the first thing me and my crew tried. Did not work for us.

i've had better luck making sure the pet eats feeding it at stations (so no bot picks up and puts away the food item.) i seem to have to wait for it to eat less if i leave the room once i drop the food.

Not sure if it applies to other pets, but according to https://barotraumagame.com/wiki/Petraptor Petraptors are to be fed by dropping food near them and like leaving them alone for a good while. That means no one nearby either.
