Campaign Complaint - Husk Infection
The amount of animals with husk infection that attack you is way to high. Its literally every mission that involves you leaving the sub you'll need multiple calyxinides to use just to cure it, and its already unfair that even when you're armored up 1 hit = infection. While antibiotics do give resistance I think its completely redundant to have so many animals infected when its a guaranteed thing you will be infected in every mission.

husks are a part of it. it could possibly be the seed you are using as the worlds are procedurally generated and this may effect monster spawns as well but i am unsure.
In short be prepared for the harsh reality of Europa's life forms and never try to be a rambo.
nothing wrong with being a rambo

Being the designated diver I'm constantly expected to be a Rambo :cryingsunspirate:

I would think a solo run would be impossible... You'd have to multitask, - make sure reactor is running, fueled up, repair all electrical junctions, repair all leaks as you ram into things or get rammed by something, repair damaged systems, what else? Oh yeah, attack anything that boards your ship. No way you can do all that by yourself, and if the sub is a fat one, have fun going around to all the junction boxes with your 20 in electrical skill that takes about a minute or so for each one all whilst need to kill the boarded enemies or and steer your sub at the sametime when power cuts out because you didn't fix up all the junction boxes or they get damaged faster than you can repair them....

I once did solo after two of my starter electrical engineer and mechanic died, so it was just me the captain left. I of course died after being crushed by the pressure with so many unfixed hull breaches on the sub whilst I was manning one of the coilguns shooting back at those flying sea slugs...

It's possible but needs small subs and you need to either move fast or feel okay to sink time after time.

I used the improved husk mod and it's really not so bad. Also taking antibiotics before a fight will give you resistance to the infection so you can't get it during the during.

I wish there were more husked creatures on Europa. Including the Endworm. In fact I'm going to have to insist that *reads name on card* Undertow Games includes a husked Endworm at some point before the game is fully released.

Husked Thallamus. Oh yes.

In fact the entire Europan moon needs to be a husk. With the revelation that contact with Earth was lost because the place became entirely husked. Husk husk husk.

HUSK!

where do you get antibiotics? I got infeccted, my character then proceeded to have a seizure after a while of exploring some ruins and then he died.....

There is a mod that husks all creatures (don't know if the thallamus is included) on the workshop. Enjoy.

Buy them at stations or from deconstructing slime.
