Bot crew members question
Hey! thanks for taking some time to reply.

Me and my buddy have been playing for a bit, trying different kinds of missions and submarines but there is one problem that seems recurrent:

Bots crew members seem to always damage themselves while running around falling or repairing things that dont seem to need repairing , they always end up using most of our medical supplies. We also noticed that they use our diving gears and then just leave them anywhere on the floor in random locations

I play as security officer and my buddy plays as captain (driving the sub) so we usually give the bots the tasks like repairing electrical systems, mechanicals systems, fixing leaks and medical assistance.

When we do mission that require we leave the submarine we leave one bot on a turret and one to fight intruder in case something happens.

We also noticed that some repairing tasks require a certain lvl of engineering for example, but we always start with a random crew with random skills.

Can anyone point out the main problem or suggest anything to do differently? thanks so much!

- middle mouse on inventories/items disallows access for bots
- the "required skill level" is the level where you dont constantly zap yourself when still trying the task
- players and bots raise skills by doing
- Yes, bots use up meds. Dont try a medic bot
- the clean up duty cleans up stuff

Medic bot needs an overhaul unfortunately. You will find they sometimes grab onto you and won't let go even after they finish administering aid. If you run into a med bot I would suggest just dismissing them, at the moment they do more harm than good

I see a lot of people complaining about this, I never have this issue when I just keep the medic on hold position in the med bay. That way if I need healing I can just walk into the med bay with the injured crew.

Just keep a bot medic around and keep him on leak repairs/guns. If anyone gets seriously injured, take control of the medic and heal some people appropriately. Unfortunately bot medics currently will waste a lot of supplies on anyone who's below 95% health.

As others said, you've gotta grind skills in order to eventually not get hurt. Enjoy the grind.

I just want to add something that i noticed while playing SP with a full bot crew in regard to this medic holding bug - from what i've seen, they only do this when they recently changed their medical scanner for a gasmask and they don't switch it back. So then they know that a person is injured but don't know how to treat them; once you take control of the medic and put the scanner back on, it works again normally.

Interesting. Good tip.

I play captain and sometimes a bot will run by and just fall to the ground like he got electrocuted. Anyone know why that is lmao

They fix things before they stop running. If they fail the skill check they go flying.
