every time i alt tab it wont let me tab in

I've had errors like that with Barotrauma when I had some virtual desktop software still running in my toolbar.

Do you have anything like that going on? Extra monitors, picture-in-picture perhaps?

Does running the game with it set to borderless windowed change anything?

I have only one monitor and no virtual desktop or picture-in-picture and I have had this issue since I purchased the game. Borderless does not fix the issue either.

I just angrily slam alt tab and spam click the icon at the bottom until it lets me back in, but if I'm in game I can't really safely alt tab because it takes a while to get back in usually.

There have been reports of people's escape key not working sometimes. Perhaps this is a related issue. I think your post will have more chances of being read by a dev if I move it. Good luck!

I had the same problem, but it was solved by setting the app to windowed.
