I am using the default Scout ship. Yes.
I was holding the wrench in hand. I tried many many times the 'E' button; at different angles. No good.
I will try this again later; with the welding tool.
I did try before; but it was rather brief. Maybe I was not aiming the gun properly the first time or something. Worth another shot.
But yes; the Crowbar and E button, does not seem to work. Even though the notification is telling me the repair needs to be done with the crowbar first.
I'll have to try the "use a welding tool like a wrench" idea next time it happens. I never thought about that.
My solution so far has just been to just live with one broken door for the rest of the round (being careful when I need to move around through the airlock) then use the "repair everything" button that the sub upgrade NPC has the next time I get to an outpost.
Ya; that is my issue.
Drats.
I'm pretty sure it was just a matter of "welding" the hatch as if it were a broken wall piece that fixed it in the end.
Bah! Frustrating.
If I understand correctly, the E option with crowbar is solely for forcing a door or hatch open and will always highlight when you have crowbar equipped, regardless of whether it needs ripping or not.
Fixing this probably required a welder and then the E key for repair at which point I think the damage bar would appear at the bottom with repair option.
Hm. Worth a second evaluation. For the next time I log in. Thanks.
