Offline/LAN Server creation?
Long story short, a few of my homies and I will have no access to internet for a couple months. I'd like to be able to create a dedicated server on my machine so we can continue to play Barotrauma without the server requiring an internet connection.

Is there any way to bypass Steam's attempt to call on its services to validate a server? I can port forward fine so long as the server is connected to the internet... but I get an error about not being able to authenticate if I'm running offline.

If there is any way to redirect this I'm all ears. I'm relatively tech savvy, just looking to have some fun while out on the big blue sea.

Have you tried using the actual Dedicated Server from the SteamCMD?

Here's the pinned post: https://steamcommunity.com/app/602960/discussions/1/2250056952644462246/

It shouldn't require authentication, so if you manage to get to the Direct Connect screen you just hit the local address of the host.

I have... it appears I can only get the server to run on SteamCMD if it that PC is connected to the internet (I otherwise get the error that it's missing the config file). I'm starting to think this may end up being a bust.

If you could paste the full error description it would help figuring out if this is a SteamCMD issue or a Barotrauma Dedicated Server issue.
