a beginner farmer here

so i have the planter, water can, a seed and even fertilizer. Ive planted the seed and waited for a while to let it grow, though i dont know how long the growth cycle is for specific seeds and when to water them. I do water them once per mission and I dont know if I'm doing the fertilizer wrong. I try to aim and fire like any other item but he just holds the fertilizer and nothing happens. no animation seeing him pour it in or even the animation of aiming an object.

Holding the fertilizer in your hand, Directly click on the planter box.

Forgot to mention, Seems to work best after you plant a seed.

i did that... he just holds it. not even aiming nor do i see anything telling me he is doing anything. no animation or anything. I have planted a seed already. is that supposed to be the thing?

Huh, Normally when you click a planter box with fertilizer your character will place their hands on the box and a tiny progress bar should show up with the text "Fertilizing"

It functions identical to the way you would plant a seed in a box.

well for the whole thing nothing happens. nothing grows at all. is it because there are workshop items?

I mean, As long as this is presumably vanilla farming we are talking about.

The process should be -
- Equip Planter
- Hold Mouse 2 and attach the planter to the wall (Make sure it's not in a ballast tank or anywhere where floods are common thing)
- Hold Seed & Click the Planter (Should display bar saying planting)
- Once the seed is planted you should be able to just equip fertilizer and click the planter box, Which will consume a fair bit of fertilizer. (Should display bar fertilizing)
- After that it's just using the watering can by equipping it, Holding Mouse 2 and holding mouse one. (Should display as watering)

If it's not this process then I assume it's modded which most likely does not follow the vanilla farming mechanics.
