The cure is called "Calyxanide" pretty much extremely simple to cure husk when youre not in a troll server.....
It also seems like husk infection chance has gone up by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cause i used to be able to take a hit and be like "I'm probably okay" unless that's just cause i havent been hit a lot.
Maybe I just need to stop playing this ♥♥♥♥ got my tilted af.
This... if youre not playing the game then just cheat and give all the marks you want...
And the cures have always been in every shop every time i check.
as a experienced player you should not be preforming salvage on destroyed subs as its incredibly risky for inexperienced players and it is , intentional
you and your friends should do more simple tasks as just doing transport mission or transport crew so you can get hand of ship , do simple mining , maybe repairing becons , and when you get comfortable with stuff , do cave missions or caves
and then eventualy , after like 10+- hours depending how well you guys preform try a shipreck
shiprecks can offer potential large stockpile of recources but early on you its not vialable to do it
as you will burn thru a lot recources and ammo (becouse you dont know what you or your friends doing)
its something for more experienced crew
if you want to try anyhow , good tactic is to park your sub not far away and have somone manning the turret , and you bait husks out of the ship and get them shreded by turret fire(just be careful not to get boarded , on some subs turrets dont directly see the airlock)
another good tip is to have combat suit , you swim faster and less chance to be infected when hit(not by big margin but it helps)
also know husk disese is hidden early on just like zombie virus would be , you need to get preemptive antybiotic jab shortly just incase(the sooner the better) (when you first get popup after infection it will need 3 sucesive jabs rather then 1)
Or you could stock up on the stuff that cures husk infections (don't know the names, I've never been the doc) and carry them around with you. Everyone gets wrecked by their first encounter with husks, it's very special. Now you know how dangerous wrecks and the husks that often dwell in them can be! You'll always be prepared from now on
Struggling for money? I dunno if you can tweak stuff in singleplayer, but just play singleplayer in a private server you host for yourself, it's a little more feature friendly including letting you spawn up to 100 of each item a round, on every round until you turn it off, and you can even make it so the game will let you accept more missions at once too. You'll be overflowing with riches by the time you reach the Europan Ridge for sure if you do that.
Consider typing "help" into the console in future, it's pretty much a universal command that'll usually print every single useful console command back at you, etc.

You will typically find on shipwrecks
1. Various medical supplies including but not limited too: Opiates, Blood substitues, and Bandage/plasteal.
2. Tools and tools fuels such as batteries, oxygen tanks, welding fuel, plasma cutters, welding tools, and crowbars plus more
3. various crafting materials like iron, uranium, and elastin.
4. Weapons and ammo both for your person and your ship most commonly you will find coilgun ammo boxes and railgun shells but also firearms (often found in secured safes so a shipwreck ID may be required to get to them) as well as explosives such as uex or c4.
5. Logbooks aside from the required one for retrieval a few others may spawn on the ship. they usually have a randomly selected text pre written in them but you can use them to take your own notes if you want too.
