Help with FPS Optimization?

Hello,

My computer runs at a nominal 60fps when playing most games, but Barotrauma seems to give a massive performance penalty when actually running the game, ranging from 30fps usually to nearly 10fps when a lot of things are happening at once.

The graphics options are super barebones and turning them down to near minimum amounts barely helps. Is there a way I can optimize the game to keep it running well, either through debug console or modding? Thanks!

Yeah this is because Barotrauma is mainly CPU dependant. There's nothing you can really do other than closing stuff with task manager.

I had the same problem finally I fixed it. if you are using ndivia grafic card , just right click on desktop and select "nvidia control panel" and then select "manage 3d settings" . From here there are 2 tabs , choose "program setting" and add barotrauma on "select a program to customize" and then on the second "high performance nvidia processor". After that you should have more problems
