I play with friends but they are not always on.
A random human factor that makes the game chaotic is fun. Building up trust with your crew should be part of the game.
Actually, it's pretty difficult to find cooperative players to play with, because some isolate themself from the main community or just quit playing.
A little bit of human chaos "can" be fun when it's minimal and self contained, but overdoing it just ruin the experience. I personnaly found the vanilla game too easy, but i don't encourage people to griefing with the goal of "improving" the experience.
There is far more fun to have in a friendly crew than in a chaotic one.
being a traitor is not a free griefing pass, its a role just as any other, it has its objectives and it may face some difficulties, but honestly if someone is rewiring stuff there is no reason not to kick/ban them, they are not doing traitor objectives, they are not playing their role, they are just a medic that takes all medical resources and refuses to heal people instead wanting to repair stuff, so basically a class that has exclusive access to some options in the game but refuses to actually engage
Also some of the servers had much better "rebel" instead of traitor. The main goal of that rebel was to kill everyone on the ship, but how they do it was all up to them (rebels were excused from the server tattling on them). Killing people was much harder since everyone was always looking for something to do and walking around the sub looking for any suspicious activity. Said rebel had to plan his strikes and stack odds against other players by first getting everything he needed to pull off the plan while not catching the attention of other crew members. Unless it was the nitroglycerin transport mission and he managed to get his hands on it before everyone else.
This sounds kinda fun.
Traitors is stupid with the objectives. They are either too straight forward or too difficult to execute without having to cheese.
The idea of having a "rebel" that comes and his job is to kill everyone sound fun as hell.
This should be a mandatory part of the game - Having at least one rebel on the sub and the game should be balanced around that with an option to disable it and having it on as default. Coop becomes too easy after a while.
You make an effort to ruin co-op servers when you have servers that let you be traitors, why? Do you guys buy games just to get some quick laughs by annoying others? Even in pure co-op games people do such stuff, which then begs the question why the hell did you buy a co-op game if you want to be a lonely troll?
It's pathetic and sad for sure but its also really really idiotic.
