Bots are competent, but they are dumb and lack initiative.
Also prepare a diving kit in a toolbox for when you need to go exploring ruins, i always bring 4 oxygen tanks, 3 batteries, a sonar and some ammo.
are the harmonicas actually useful? I started to play online and found a guitar as well. Also. What a completely different game this is online.
As for sp. My airlock has everything I need for diving thankfully, and since my first mission failure I make sure to have at least one mask on me and if I'm lucky and O2 tank.
The stuff happen to fast in the game and there is really no good overview of what is going on, so when a creature attack you and enter the sup you really dont know before you lost most of your cret and find out something is rong.. other times you sub is damaged and stuff not working but you dont know since there is not good overview.. sometimes you even first find out when you walk arround the sub..
Just saying game is kind of unplayable in singleplayer even in a small sub desgined with a crew of 3 people. And the small sub designed for 1 person cant really defend it self.
I have pretty much given up playing the game its simply not fun.
Facinating and interesting at first but it very first but when you barely can complete even the very first mission then its not really fun.
Also every base you visit almost look the same.. climb up some stair maybe craft or shop and then exit.. as far as i see there is no variation or quest to do or things to discover.
Well my words are based on my longest singleplayer game where i managed to do 3 mission before i rand into events i dident events that i dident know was going on inside my sub.
Of course harmonicas are usefull, how are you goin on an expedition without music?it also makes the game look less grim.
I think you are just a very noob captain( not meaning to disrespect), my longest run in single player was 25 missions, and i could have kept going, but wanted to try other subs, its not unplayable, you just need to know what you are doing.
1.you say there is no good overview of what is going on, but there is a radar showing you the creatures around the sub, and the bots report broken devices, leaks, intruders, medical aid fires etc, you can pretty much nail whats going on around the sub from those reports.
2. You say you wont really know when a creature is entering your sub, thats not true, if you are paying attention, you can identify mudraptors from the size of their blip on the radar, and you can also see them coming, you can also arm a crew member and have him stay out on watch, or better yet, just kill it with the gattling guns before it enters the sub, easy peazy, i rarelly have intruders because i usually kill them before they get in, unless there is a blind spot on the ship, then i go outside and kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
3.You say there is no good overview of broken devices, but thats not true when bots report anything thats broken that they see, just like a person.
4.you ideally want a sub for 5 people, one soldier, one enginer, one medic, one mechanic and one captain, 3 people is doable, but you need a well designed sub.
5. The " you can barelly complete a mission" should be replaced with "I can barelly complete a mission".
6 stations and outposts will get expanded on in the future.
7. It seems that the problem is that you are just bad at the game, for lack of practice and experience, or is just doing plain dumb remarks that arent true, improve your skills.
The AI could really do with a job list they will do based on class and a priority level with which to do a job once its encountered, they currently require too much micromanagement.
Possibly a job screen that any time someone calls in something (broken system/leak etc) gets added and the captain can assign jobs to people at priority from there.
An Alert function to have people man the turrets too rather than fumble with the controls while the hulls being ate.
Solo play is fun but usually frustrating as much, my last run ended when my engineer apparently left the ship for some reason, first I knew was when the power went out and we crashed, his crew selection tab was still there but he was no longer on board.
Did the topic somehow become outdated due to a massive game changing update in the last week?
I think we are safe.
