A thread about the player count of Barotrauma.
Saw a lot of people getting worried about the player count, so i decided to make a thread about the current state of the Barotrauma playerbase.

Q: ''Barotrauma doesn't have a lot of players, will i find any round?''

A: For sure, in the Legacy version there were less than 60 players, and you could always find a good round, meanwhile Barotrauma has 200+ players as i wrote this thread, so it's not a really big deal.

Q: ''Barotrauma's player count is declining, should i be worried?''

A: Not really, as i said before, you can always find a round. And the majority of players will get back into the game as every major update is released.
And once Barotrauma will leave Early Access, a lot of players will buy the game since there will be a lot of content, unlike in the EA release.

Q: ''The price is too high for an Indie game, no one will buy it!''

A: Rimworld and Factorio are both indie games and have a similar price, and these games are doing fine. Sure, Barotrauma doesn't have a lot of content as the other games, but keep in mind that it just released recently in EA.

Q: ''Heard that there are a lot of griefing problems, is it really that severe?

A: Not really, once in a while you will find some griefers, but if you find a lot of them, just make a private server with friends. If you don't have any friends that play Barotrauma, give a look at the Recruiting Crewmates sub-forum.

Feel free to share your own opinions and point out other problems, so we can discuss them.

One more thing to add to op's list:

- Submarine building, monster and mod creation attracts a few dedicated fellows to dig into those and produce stuff. The flexibility of the editors and ingame electronics suggests that the scope of future player-made content is only limited by our imagination, dedication, math skills and levels of autism.

The surface is barely scratched, I tell ya!

Looks pretty stable, where it is now. No reason for worrying...
