So is this game worth the 20 bucks?

Does it actually have content? What is there to really do other than managing your craft?

Well there's always exploring alien bases, crafting better equipment for your crew, fighting off aliens, sinking your sub so badly and then repairing it, creating your own submarine, roleplay, play campaign with friends.

This game is early access, and i do agree with you (somewhat) so you can just buy the game a year later when it's more polished.

YES! Totally worth it! I definitely enjoy the game, even in this state. I have 1 warning though - missions/sandbox in multiplayer is VERY cancerous. Campaign mode is actually very fun, even with complete strangers, because you need to cooperate if you want to survive and not die and wait till next round.
Content - there is enough. Not an MMO RPG where you have so much stuff you need a wiki to know what to do, but enough to have a learning curve and a need of experience to handle different events.

I have to agree with the fellow, it -is- fun to play with randoms. I take a buddy or two with me if I can, but neither I mind going in alone to random servers. Anything can happen between a nice cooperative sailing, pve, slaughter, roleplay, madness, disaster, accusations, heated arguments, concealed murders, sabotage and clowns.

Some people express that they don't like all of the above features, and they find it hard sometimes to avoid the ones they find unpleasant. I like all of it.

Last time I logged in there were ~650 players online. Doesn't matter much, game just got released.

Concent is lacking, when there are no degenerates messing with the sub you suddenly start to realise how little concent this game has.
The people you play with are the main source of enjoyement atm, and if you have an interesting crew with a griefer or two you will undoubtedly have a good time.

Anything can happen really, a captain who orders the genocide of doctors and turns the sub into a concentration camp, or some russian f4g who joins with his 4 other “comrades” and make the game unplayable, while also flooding the chat window russian hieroglyphs.

It does, appropriately implemented so that certain things prevent it from functioning like battery dying on your comms headset or a viral infection that turns you into a monster but prevents you from warning your crew due to tendrils creeping up your throat.

shame about the price point
£20 is a lot of monet for early access, game looks great , but i just dunno about pulling the trigger on this, i think sometimes less is more , if it would of been around £15 more ppl like me sitting on fence would have jumped in giving more overall sales

Considering the game was originally completely free with different graphics, not really.

If you got a group of friends who will be able to play, absolutely.

This game is best with friends, and is a very solid game.


If it's just you though, I wouldn't bother. Randoms are and were never fun, especially in this game where it's an SS13like.

It's honestly only really worth it if you have a few friends or a dedicated group.
It's no SS13, it has influx of complete idiots who ruin the game for everyone.
