Doesn't scale too well at higher difficulties - the only difficuties that are fun to play at. If you're playing with only two people I don't reccomend this game for you.
2 players operating ships (of reasonable size) will be possible if the ships are well disigned and automated but you'll need to dig in the workshop to find such ships.
Anyway it's a game about RP, you'll need more than 3 peoples to initiate a traitor mode wich is the essence of this game for me.
My advice to you is to join a community of serious players with your friend to rightfully enjoy the game.
No improvement. Consider playing ss13 instead: direct improvement.
If you have a proper sub it can be fun if not it wont be. The best it is to have each role in your crew but doing so you would need atleast 6 people but being with more than 4 can be a task since most just start throwing ♥♥♥♥ everywhere and stuff become a mess. You need a right crew, peopel who arent braindead to work with and you can have 50 people np.
