Migrating cracked save files over to steam save folders?

I tried moving my files from:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\601150\remote\win64_save

to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[steamid]\601150\remote\win64_save

but the game tells me to create a new save when I boot it up

I also moved the data001Slot.bin file from

C:\Games\Devil May Cry 5\win64_save (the cracked save)

to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Devil May Cry 5\win64_save

Which also didn't work :( Any ideas or people in the same boat?

For disclosure: I downloaded the crack because I wanted to play the game without denuvo and I still bought the game to support the devs.

The "crack" is just a leaked pre-release QA test build of the game. There's no guarantee that your save files will be compatible because the pre-release build wasn't intended for retail distribution.

You're probably going to have to start over. There's an off chance that your Steam UserID has been hardcoded into the save files (some games do that). Without knowing the Steam UserID that your crack was using, you're in trouble. If you do know it, you can take a hex editor and try finding and replacing that ID with 76561198047802323 (your forum account's userid).

I know the steam id, how can I replace it if I cannot find it in the search, although the steam id of a friend and his save. help me please
