I've got over 900 crop waste waiting in my box to be turned into Peat (of which I am constantly lacking) and the whole running up, running down, running up, running down of the fertilizer creation process really becomes boring.
Selling it might appear to be "better then nothing" but then again at the stage of the game where you need quality fertilizer you don't need any small coins anymore. And you definitely won't get enough money from selling crop waste so that it justifies the time effort to run to the legless cow guy.
My biggest problem is having to destroy hundreds of maggots as I have no use for them.
Keep in mind, this thread was created pre Breaking Dead. Haven't gotten around to getting my zombie gardens up and running yet... perhaps it solves the issue with excess crop waste. Of course... the fact that the garden only takes up two vertical spaces leaves a bad taste in my mouth. There should be a variant that takes three vertical spaces, for the taller crop plots
You are welcome to eat them if you want. You can have mine, too.
Actually I have the same problem even without using zombies at all. I can never keep the compost heaps running due to lack of crop waste. In fact it's worse without zombie farms because iirc they don't produce crop waste; nor do they consume extra peat or other fertilizer, once you get them first established, except when you upgrade them. I should have thought through my first post in greater depth so that I could include this then, but I was pretty tired at the time.
