Zombie Farm loses Gold-Star Onion Seeds

As the title says, using the zombie farm is losing me Gold-Star Onion Seeds. I have noticed this very occasionally with other crops in zombie farms, but I am losing at least 2 seeds each time my onions are done. I have all the dlc, but surely that wouldn't impact it. Given how the Gold Fertiliser works, I would assume that I should either have net 0 seeds in zombie farms, or even gain seeds.

This is normal. All planting is RNG based. Even the zombie farms are RNG based. I want to say it's 21-27 seeds you get back. So yes, if you're truly unlucky you might have a few runs where you keep losing.
