Gold star chisel bug.

Hi, in the refugee camp I been asked for 5 gold star chisel. but you can only have one. keep crafting (tried like 10 times) but only see 1 in my inventory also checked all the chests around my camp. but nothing.

It is extremely annoying. You need to craft a silver chisel where you have the chance that it can become a gold one. If you go directly for the gold chisel, the game will use any gold chisel you already have in the inventory to craft the new one (so you'll still only have one).

Alternatively, take the gold chisel you've got and place it in a chest far away from the workshop, e.g. in the crematorium. That way you can craft a new one in the workshop. Put that one away. Etc.

yeah I did experiment after I posted the comment put a gold chisel in the refuge camp then crafted one more. :(
after that I realize silver with 70% chance of gold chisel and did the remaning 3 like that.
but yeah annoying.

Bug is still present- crafting keeps taking up my resources but only 1 gold chisel is made. Irritating. Will try the workarounds here.

Because thus far she's only asked for five regular ones, from me...

after 5 regular ones she will ask for 5 gold ones.
just create silver ones with a 70% chance of gold ones

Not a bug. To make a gold-quality steel chisel, you need to utilize the third recipe where'in a steel chisel is one of the inputs. After making your first gold-quality chisel, you need to make sure *not* to input that same chisel, or else you'll effectively *re-make* it. This can be useful in order to re-constitute it; use it 9 times, remake it, use it 9 times, remake it, etc.

In order to make 5x gold-quality, you need to input silver-quality chisels for that recipe. Simple.

It is a bug if you can't use a gold quality chisel to make an extra one.
Since you already have one gold chisel you would not even try to *re-make* it.
If you use a chisel for other things you always get it back after the creation.
This time not => so its a bug.
