however you don't have to craft "pen and ink" so no more buying feathers and you craft them twice as fast than using desk which leads to spending less energy and time
Chapter and notes in their description shows they could be created in the press. But it's not the case.
As mentioned before the space problem makes the printing press a waste of space. You can achieve the same on your Desk. You only need a little more time effort and pen and ink instead of only ink - but creating those ain't exactly a problem at this stage and creating flyers on your desk grants you those needed blue points while working on the printing press does not.
If at least zombies could work on it.. but even then the use of flyers is so limited that it wouldn't make enough sense either.
I never make a paper press or any paper glop, since there is almost always more clean paper available via crafting from corpse skin or bat wings, and I have better uses for garden plots than stacking trunks full of wheat.
I never make Bookshelves because Scrollshelves take less floor space, cost the exact same materials and hold the exact same amount of stuff with no restrictions.
I never make either printing press as by the time I can, I've already given some to the Inquisitor and stuffed the warehouse table with more than I will ever need. (Blue points!)
I once made a random text generator but by the time it's at all practical there are better ways to get blue points than hoping for a random blue points book.
I have what for me are ideal layouts for the alchemy lab, morgue and yard and there's just no room for these essentially useless items. I suppose I could squeeze in the RTG if I ever really saw a need for it but I don't, so I keep the screenshots handy for new games as my memory is about as reliable as Trump.
