I think I've seen others say that changing the resolution sometimes helps get rid of the cut scene bars? I've not had it happen myself, so I haven't really looked into that bug too much.
Some of the DLC's are better than others, depending on what you like getting out of a game. So you may enjoy some and not others. I have all and I do think they all give something, but I also adore this game and am on my 8th playthrough.
Breaking Dead: Included with Steam version of the game. This gives zombies and all things related to them.
Stranger Sins: Massive lore dump. Run your own Tavern which is an insane amount of passive income if you get your zombies fully automated. Probably the most important DLC story wise.
Game of Crone: Small amount of lore, potential foreshadowing/theory bait. There are three story/quest lines to follow, but they are all related so must all be done in order to finish the DLC. The big thing here is the refugee camp you can help build. Once you have it up and running, it's a way to get free food (cooked food, but only the new recipes we got with this pack. More eggs than you know what to do with. Sometimes you might be able to grab milk or byproducts before they're cooked with. They can also grow crops, including quality ones if you add fertiliser- works like zombie farms). Gives grave decor to bring them up to 16 potential white skulls.
Better Save Soul: Teensy amount of lore. The main thing this pack gives us is maxing white skull counts at 26 (with grave decor to match) and a VERY easy way to get perfect corpses/zombies. Time consuming, but easy.
