What exactly triggers it?

The GoC DLC introduces three separate-but-co-mingling quest-lines. Your first meeting with Beatrice will trigger immediately after sleeping, once you've reached a certain checkpoint with both the 'refugee' (7 refugees) and 'vampire' (recover jawbone) quests.

You'll meet Beatrice a few more times after this, but only at certain points of advancement...

Good luck ... but, jfyi - of the three fanciful perks introduced with that DLC - you're only meant to be able to claim one perk (there may be an exploit to get two).

Persistence and Industriousness is what I always need and have gotten now (again). But that way is without exploit, I think?

Both of them are almost useless at that point in the end game..

I think I managed to get none of the perks somehow. I wanted industrious so I sided with beatrice. However the corpse with the note will not show up. I talked to teodora, got the big bag and recipe, went to my morgue and gerry started talking about something with yorick and no corpse showed up. Its been several days.

So uh, make sure gerry doesn't want to talk to you about something(I'm not even sure why he suddenly decided to talk about yorick that day, I haven't run into yorick in a while)

For the other perk you have to talk to Alaric.

Maybe the donkey is stuck somewhere? But I am not sure if he should deliver the 3 bodies, there was no deliver signal I think.
