got 62 bloody nails hes at 20 rep cleared all dungeon floors up to the gate and he essentially seems softlocked into being useless right now

ideas?

At the end of floor 5, there was a chest.
Inside the chest, was a bucket of blood.
Giving this bucket of blood to Snake is one of his quest.

Now items left on the ground in the dungeon disappear when you leave it. So if your inventory was full and you didn't pick up the bucket of blood, it is gone.

No worries, you can craft one yourself on the church workbench below the church.

Also in general, you should check the NPC tab, it will show any current quests with the NPC.

P.S: Some part of one NPC quest will not start or be possible to progress until you have done tasks for another NPC. So if you happen to stuck with nothing else to progress, work on others NPC quests and it will solve itself.

Should be the Bucket Fargel_Linellar mentioned.

You got 10 Rep for Opening the Gate and 10 for Nails so your 20, but you should get another 10 for the Bucket which is needed to get his Quest going forward and also needed for Ms. Charm's Questline with him.

If you did everything correctly and be at 30 he wants you to get the Necronomicon.


If you bring him the 5 Nails the Bloody Nails mostly get obsolote, you can wash them at the Cooking table for 1 Water and 1 Sand each to get 1 Nail out of it, if its worth it is up to you^^

that chest on floor 5 didn't have anything for me, but i made him the bucket seperate , the quest wants me to give him 75 nails , not 5 unless it was 5 earlier, either way still at 20 rep

course now that i look at the quest... its just 5
what fever dream was i having that it said he wanted 75 O_o
*hands 5 nails in* progresses
yeah i got nothing but ima leave this fever dream issue here for prosperity

Maybe you did Game of Crone DLC at the same time and accidentally give the Bucket to Master Alaric, otherwise maybe your Inventory was full and you run over it, Fargal is right their Items disappear if you left the Area. Atleast i for myself never get the Bucket not spawning in 3 Times running it till their.

75 would be kinda hard, the Monsters Spawning are random.
I just get around 80-90 this run till Area 15.

Last time over 110, and to be honest its not really funny even running with 10 with this crappy Gear you get their.
Thats why 5, 2x Bloody Nails from every Maiden, they start spawning at 4-15 so you would normally be done 5 with both.

But i knew this Problem of reading the wrong Numbers :D
A tracker function for Quests and also Recipes would be brilliant, i use to love the new Steam Overlay their with Notes.
Writing down all Mats as example, i need to Build severall Things so i dont need to remember 8 different Mats in Quantity.
You can do same with Quests

Yep its a new Feature since last (Official) Update, i was testing it at Beta already.

If you get your Steam Overlay activated the third Symbol in the Bottom (looking like a Pencil) is Notes.
You can write down informations about the Game which are showed if you want, you even can edit them at Steam Biblio without needing to start the Game, they are stucked to this Game.

Ingame just Shift+Tab, get the Overlay showed and you can read what you write or can edit it.

For me as a Person which tend to switch around 10-20 Games at a Time its a huge Progress since i dont need to write down notes on paper.

You can write down where you stop and what you want to do next and even after a Month its sticked to the Game and you remember why you write it.

Its one of the best Features in the last Years in my Opinion.

Thank you. I have never used it and it's generally disabled for all games, because of problems with some of the older games.
I used One Notes in parallel, but I will try overlay again.

I definitly see a Problem at the Ram their... not just one Time just this Overlay want to take over 4GB Ram which is ridiculous, if you can use it with your RAM its perfect otherwise its not optimized since over 8 Years
