How the actual do I get blue points?
Hi there,

I'm on day ~40 now, and never had a blue point. Everything that gives you blue points needs to be unlocked by spending blue points I just don't have or never got.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

I get blue points by studying the grave fencing and headstones and then as you make higher level grave decorations you will get blue points from making them as well ass their ingredient. Hope this helps

I can't study anything because I think I need blue points to unlock the ability to study things to get blue points. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm in a bit of a pickle here :P

There is a difference between blue (faith) points and the swirly light blue research points. You can "burn" paper in the research bench in the basement of the church to earn science points. Every night from dusk-midnight there will be four bats that spawn north of your house, three that spawn at the beehive area, and three bats north of the beehives. These ten bats' wings can be turned into paper at the Church Workbench (in groups of 5).

The first things you should research are loose body parts for some sweet early blue faith points. As Lunarwolfqueen mentioned the stone graves are an excellent choice of early game tech. You can craft headstones and get red (might) points and faith points. Then you can disassemble them for more rocks to make more headstones.

once you unlock the church, and start doing sermons, you have access to the basement, and studying... this gets you your first blue points (hint: anything Graveyard/body related)

You can buy books from the astrologer that give you blue pips when you use them. You can then use those points to unlock graveyard fences and headstones, which you can then research in the church basement for more blue pips. IIRC you can also get a few blue pips by making statues and carved marble.

use the stone cutter in your yard to make tombstones / grave fences! If it's not the stone cutter try the other stone thing in the yard. no studying required !

This is wrong as you only get red from tier 0 wood crosses and fences as well as tier 1 stone fences and headstones. You need tech to get tier 2 stone fences and headstones for blue production.

Ah I need to buy stuff it seems, thanks all!

red and green tech can get you into the church to get your faith and studying. The lighthouse researcher is more of a bonus if you have the money.

Thanks!

Doing this enough can actually break the game in half, since getting to Beefriend makes energy effectively free once you build all the beehives...honestly, in some of my longer-running saves, I've got TOO MUCH food to make sense. :gk_skull:

You need to unlock the church. To do this you need to complete the bishop's quest to get the graveyard up to a certain standard, I forget the value he wants you to get it to but it's not very high.

Once the church is unlocked you can access the study table in the basement and start studying objects. This requires faith (which you gain from sermons in the church) and paper (which can be made at the church workbench), studying certain things will give you blue points.

Unlock the research that allows you to produce stone graveyard fences, once you have this research you can make your own blue points at the stonecutter in your garden. Each stone graveyard fence you make will give you 5 blue points

Go meet the Astrologer and buy a blue book, cost like 5 silver.

"Stone Grave Fence" costs 2 stone and gives you 5 blue points.

If you don't use it you can disassemble it and get 1 stone back.
This is the best trade I know: 1 stone (and energy) for 5 blue points.:lunar2019grinningpig:
