[SOLVED] Q: Nintendo Switch Ultimate version misses Better Save Soul DLC, but has Breaking Dead. Is it the same?
I'm interested in buying the Ultimate Collector's Ed. on Switch. But it doesn't have the Better Save Soul DLC, instead there's one called Breaking Dead, which is not on the Steam version. Is it the same?

Breaking Dead is included with the base version of the game on Steam.
It is a separate DLC on others platform (Mobile, Switch).

DLC on other platform where ported at a later date for all previous DLC. So at some point, Better Save Soul will probably be available on Switch.

I only have the game on PC, but from feedback I've seen from Switch player, I would recommend playing the PC version.

The PC version is more stable and is the 1st that get updated or receive new content.

I play on PC and Switch. Only real complaint is that Switch version gets DLC MUCH later.

There is necessarily a difference in performance, but the biggest one I've noticed is a longer initial load time. Others have reported game-breaking crashes every 45 minutes; I've been playing over 400 hours and never had a crash or one moment of slowdown.

Honestly it's best to stick with the primary platform for any game. There are many PC ports of console games, and they are crappy, unstable, and far behind the primary platform release, and the same goes in the other direction for this game and other (just look at 7 Days to Die for one example).

In general I agree, but this game was clearly designed for a console controller, not mouse-and-keyboard. That doesn't change any other relevant facts: surely was developed for PC, then ported to console; I just hate when a built-for-PC game works better with a gamepad than with the platform's default control device.

While PCs can use console controllers, no, the game was not "clearly designed for a console controller". Just because a game uses up, down, left and right does not make it "designed for a console controller".

Never said it did.

I'll pretend that instead of assuming my reason was the dumbest one possible, you asked "what makes you say that?"

I say that because there doesn't seem to be any advantage to playing this game with a mouse and keyboard. It could easily take advantage of the plethora of buttons available, but doesn't. Moreover: in any menu (where a player spends a lot of time), pointing and clicking never seems to work as well as using the directional controls to move the cursor to the desired item and pressing the "okay" button.

When the game just works with a gamepad and is a little glitchy with a mouse, I think it's fair to say the game was apparently designed to use a gamepad. When the game has a four-item hotbar, I think it's fair to say the game was apparently designed to use a gamepad with a four-directional control, rather than a keyboard with an easily-reachable number line of thirteen keys.
