Yorick Tavern Bug
So I have put beer on the pallets in the tavern several times now and for some reason the Yorick quest "Put beer on pallets" is not completing. I have played through this part several times in the past with no problem but maybe I am missing something or don't remember something? Any ideas?

Which pallet you put beers on has an impact. If you built extra pallet before adding any drinks, then it won't work.

Also, hosting an event will also complete the quest.

There's no reward to that quest, it's only here for tutorial, so you shouldn't even worry about it.

I did not build any new pallets and I already did the comedy show still hasn't completed. I know there is no reward just annoying is all. But I was thinking is it like the give blood to Alaric quest where it never goes away? I have played through that part of the game a few times but I guess I never paid attention to if it stays or completes.

I am noticing mant glitches since the last patch, including the above, and almost all automations i breaking if it uses Zombies, from items not being sent from the quarry, to yorrick not selling boose, to zombies not doing anything from a sesignated workstation unless it is in the main yard.

I did this quest before the last recent patch and had a similar issue. I did not put on a show and did not build any other racks but trying to put beer on the default shelves down there did nothing at all. Building both of the others and putting them there worked for me however and progressed the quest line.

I haven't noticed any of the other issues mentioned yet however. My wood/quarry work is still running as it was, my tavern is making small amounts of money as I don't have a big fancy setup for that yet still. I can't comment on the zombies as I don't have a broad range of them but I have a decent amount and they are all busy working away still.

Editing to add a just found a new glitch however... I bought a recipe from Clotho and it didn't give me the new recipe when I used it. Instead it just randomly gave me some potion instead so I still don't know how to make that potion LoL

Did you check the recipes on both Alchemy table?
It can give you any alchemy recipe, but some can be made on the Alchemy table I and the rest on the Alchemy table II.
Depending if they have 2 or 3 components.

Yes I did go check both tables and I am not getting the recipes any more, only the actual item itself including the "Spices" item which I think is useless after it's quest? LoL While I played tonight I collected 10+ recipes between Clotho and what I believe is a DLC story line and not one gave me a recipe, only the potion/item itself. Could that happen if I've already collected them all and it just gives the item now instead? I don't feel that is the case yet but I don't know for sure. I don't want to look either as I don't use guides on any game my first time through at least. If I learned all the recipes I guess it wouldn't be a glitch at least but I feel I'm still missing a few. I'll check over my recipes again better next time and see if anything jumps out at me that's required for something else that I'm still missing.

I thought I noticed something else off as well but I can't recall what it was now. It's nearly 4am and I need to go to bed :P Curse these addictive games :P

Edit: Just to clarify, when you get a recipe and 'use' it, a message normally pops up saying you learned x recipe. Each time tonight no message about a new recipe came up. As soon as the recipe item was used and inventory closed there was the pop up alert at the bottom right for picking up an item however and that is where I can see I'm getting the potions and such over learning recipes.

Is it a recipe for a quest or is it a random alchemy potion scroll thing? I never buy the alchemy recipes because you can just google the recipe and make it you don't have to learn the recipe before you can make it and after you make it it adds it to your table recipes. But if its a quest potion like the memory tonic (or whatever its called) that is def a bug and a bad one.

It's possible that if you already know all recipes, you get something else instead...

I have not used those scrolls for a very long time and definitely not tested what happens if you already know all recipes.

It was just the scrolls you can either buy from Clotho or get from doing tasks in a DLC that give you the new recipes. Straight out looking them up is cheating therefore I don't do it :P As I said awhile ago (or maybe it was another thread in which case I'm sorry, mighta been another post in these forums), I only use a guide AFTER the first complete playthrough I do, if needed. My first time through a game I refuse to use any guides or lookup info online about any of it. That's a waste of money in my eyes and why buy the games to begin with to just cheat through them? -_- :P I've been playing games since the 80s and we got by just fine without using the internet to help us through games back then and it's how I prefer to play. Better to figure it out yourself than have it solved straight out for you.

I oddly did see the Memory thing on my list last night though and no idea where it came from. That's not one a learned from a scroll for sure and nobody has asked me for it yet so no ideas on it LoL I don't have an ingredient either way though so no worries yet :D

Okay, so it may not be a glitch after all. If I play again tonight I will count the recipes I have and mark the numbers down and see if I can find a count of recipes between the 2 desks in the game. That should give a good idea if it might be a glitch or just a normal feature then. Off hand does anybody know a total count for alchemy recipes there should be in the game?

To the OP, I didn't mean to take over this thread, just add to it about a similar issue with pallets to start with and add what I thought was a glitch but now may not be after all LoL Did you ever get the pallets/beer issue solved?

No worries, take over the post all you want. My question was pretty much answered, I at least know its not just happening to me and there are some things to try. I haven't played in a few days but will try to build the other pallets when I do. I looked it up and it looks like there are around 42 alchemy recipes including paint and the different injections (not sure if they matter, I think they are made on the workbench, don't remember) and does not include recipes you get for the purpose of a quest. Its at least ballpark number.

Thanks for checking, and that actually sounds almost about right then to show what's going on there for me. Desk 1 had 24 recipes, Desk 2 had 20, so I have 44 total recipes (including whatever the Memory thing is which sounds quest related actually). That very well could mean I have them all and it's not worth buying the random recipe anymore then. At least it doesn't appear to be a glitch!

Haha sorry again either way, just throwing my possible glitches out there too I guess since somebody else brought some up. I hope the pallets sort themselves out for you! I had to build the other 2 like I said and I believe it didn't complete the step until I put the beer on one of the two pallets I built. The one already there I don't think triggered it at the time. Good luck! :) Getting that tavern running was sure a nice bit of sudden money and has helped me out with a few other quests and such :D
